Many people don't know that I attended medical school in Singapore at age 20, only for two weeks, then dropped out, because I wanted to work on Wall Street. Later on, while I was working as a stock analyst, for years, I regretted not having gone to medical school. It was my husband and sisters who encouraged me to have the courage to stop regretting and to take the plunge to quit my job to go back to medical school.
Do you suffer from many regrets? I know from personal experience how crippling regrets can be. So, now if you have any big regrets in your life, stop regretting and take steps to remedy it!
Feel too old? After several years working as a stock analyst on Wall Street, I went back to medical school at the age of 36, and then 7 years of residency to become a wound care doctor. I was the oldest medical student in my class. I was also the oldest surgical resident in my program. So it's true, it is never too late to pursue your dreams and goals (within reason!)
